How we Care for our ladies:
Our chickens live in a large coop that contains 2 chicken houses and a large, fenced-in, grassy run (as great as truly free range chickens sounds, they are not the smartest creatures and we have coyotes in the area). The ladies spend their days foraging for bugs and rummaging through our compost before being closed in to the chicken houses at night for safety.
Cage-free, free-range, humane, all those labels get complicated, we know! If you have additional questions about how our chickens are treated, just let us know!
